The Story of Reflections
We live in a time where now is the time to chase your dreams. If you were to ask someone what our favorite drink would be, without hesitation they would respond with coffee. It's become a part of our lifestyle. During the days of 2020 our escape was the dream brewing in our hearts. Reflection is special and we are so excited to share our story, our love for coffee, and even more so honored that you would choose our coffee. Every roast we take on has its own history and flavor that will literally send you to never be the same. Don't settle for good coffee, get great coffee.
Reflections is a family business. Starting together in the garage of our home in Willow Spring, North Carolina. The love for coffee made it easy yes to start a coffee company together. Coffee is not just a drink, it's a lifestyle. It is a routine to take on a stressful day, an art, a skill, its science and chemistry wrapped together. It's easy to strive through life forgetting to reflect back on everything you’ve accomplished. Rushing through life is a part of the culture. I wonder, however, what would happen if you were to slow down. Take a minute and shift your perspective to breathe. Coffee does that, great coffee that is.
We hope with every cup you brew it causes you to slow down and breathe, shifting you to take on your day with tenacity and courage. As you drink our coffee the hope would be that you would gather around the table bringing about hope to all you get coffee with.
Mike is the Chief Roasting Officer (CRO) behind Reflections Coffee Roasters. By profession, Mike works full-time helping his employer improve processes, develop people, and deliver meaningful transformation. He genuinely loves his career and the opportunity to make a positive impact through his work. Mike's career is dedicated to improving operations, develop people, and navigating change—work that he genuinely enjoys and considers a calling. Reflections was born from that same desire to create, improve, and serve others. What began as a love for great coffee grew into a family business centered around quality, craftsmanship, and connection. Whether working with teams during the week or roasting coffee on evenings and weekends, Mike brings the same commitment to excellence, learning, and continuous improvement to everything he does.
Anna is the lead Marketer. She has a passion for people and loves spending time in the community and serving handcrafted lattes. Anna is most likely pursing some sort of creative outlet, taking a walk outside or spending time with community.
Jenny is the glue of the operation. Without her we would have a whole lot of passion and not nearly as much gentleness or creativity. She is also a health coach and has a passion to see people live their best lives in a healthy mindset and body. You will most likely find Jenny in the kitchen crafting new recipes together, watching hallmark movies, or shopping.
The last one in our family is Gunnar. Whenever Gunnar walks in the room the party has arrived. He is currently learning how to do the digital side of our business. Gunnar is most likely singing somewhere or kicking a soccer ball around.
